Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Dashly iOS app and this website. Please read them before using Dashly.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing or using Dashly — Car Widgets ("Dashly", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The app is provided by KK Ventures, UAB ("we", "us").

2. Eligibility and use of the app

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country, and at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age applicable where you live). If you use Dashly on a device managed by someone else, you confirm you are permitted to do so.

3. What Dashly is

Dashly is a personalization product. It lets you design widgets — vehicle styles, manufacturer logos, plates, photos, videos and GIFs, countdowns, couple widgets, moon phase information, text designs, football club logos and music-inspired designs — for display on iPhone and on supported CarPlay widget surfaces. Some widgets display dynamic information; others are entirely your own design.

4. Permitted use

You agree not to:

  • use Dashly unlawfully or for any unlawful content;
  • upload or create content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or personality rights, or that is hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive or abusive;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent purchase or entitlement checks;
  • scrape, resell or redistribute content, imagery or logos obtained through the app other than for your own personal widget use;
  • interfere with the app's operation or with other users' use of it.

5. Safe use while driving

Dashly is a customization and widget product. It is not a driver assistance system, navigation system, vehicle diagnostic tool or safety device. You must not design, edit or interact with widgets in a way that distracts you while driving. Set up your widgets before you drive, and always keep your attention on the road.

Dashly does not replace vehicle systems, instrument readings, road signs, traffic law, driver judgement, or the safety mechanisms built into Apple CarPlay. You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully.

6. CarPlay and widget disclaimer

Dashly creates widgets for iPhone and for supported CarPlay widget surfaces. It does not modify, replace or control Apple CarPlay itself, and it cannot add functionality your device, vehicle or Apple does not support. Where widgets appear, which sizes are available, whether animation is played, and how frequently a widget refreshes are determined by iOS and by Apple's implementation — not by us. Vehicle and head-unit compatibility varies by manufacturer and model.

Apple, iPhone and CarPlay are trademarks of Apple Inc. Dashly is an independent application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some Dashly features require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. App Store pricing may vary by country and region; the exact localized price is always shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. No free trial is offered.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID / App Store account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's subscription rules, generally at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: manage or cancel at any time in your Apple account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Restore Purchases: available in the app when signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
  • Refunds: handled by Apple under Apple's policies. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

Purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system and are additionally governed by Apple's applicable terms, including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies to Dashly.

8. AI-generated content

AI Create produces artwork from images and parameters you provide. Generated output is produced automatically and may be imperfect, inaccurate, unexpected or visually distorted. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before using or sharing it, and for ensuring your use of it is lawful.

You must hold the rights or permission needed for every photo or other source material you upload, including permission from any person depicted. Do not upload material that infringes third-party rights. We may decline to process requests that appear to violate these terms or a provider's policies.

9. User-uploaded content

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the requested feature — for example to transmit a selected image to an AI provider so the artwork you asked for can be produced. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not claim ownership of your designs. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for the widgets you create.

10. Third-party services and content

Dashly integrates third-party services and content. In the current version these include:

  • Apple / App Store / StoreKit — In-app purchases, subscription processing and receipt validation. Apple handles payment; we never see your full card details.
  • RevenueCat — Subscription entitlement and purchase state management, including Restore Purchases. Receives a pseudonymous app user identifier and purchase metadata.
  • GIPHY — GIF search and delivery for animated widgets. Search terms are sent to GIPHY to return results.
  • OpenAI image generation — Powers AI Create. Images you deliberately select are transmitted to the provider to generate the artwork you requested.

Third-party content — including GIFs, automotive imagery, manufacturer and club logos, and music metadata and artwork — remains the property of its respective owners and is subject to those owners' and providers' own terms. Availability of third-party content may change or be withdrawn without notice. We are not responsible for third-party content, services or their availability.

11. Intellectual property

Dashly, its name, logo, design, interface, templates and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Trademarks belonging to vehicle manufacturers, football clubs and other third parties are the property of their respective owners; their appearance in the app does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

12. Availability and changes

We do not guarantee that Dashly will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Features, widget types, content sources and pricing may be added, changed, limited or removed, and third-party dependencies may cease to be available. We may release updates that require a current iOS version.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dashly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of data, or uninterrupted operation. Dynamic information shown in widgets — including countdowns, moon data, music metadata and sports content — is provided for convenience and may be delayed or inaccurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or content, arising from your use of or inability to use Dashly. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Dashly in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

15. Termination

You may stop using Dashly at any time by deleting the app; remember to cancel any active subscription separately through Apple. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law or by a platform or provider. On termination, the licence in section 11 ends.

16. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Data and deletion requests can be submitted via the privacy request page.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app develops. The revision date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and material changes will be indicated in the app or on this website. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. The competent courts of Lithuania shall have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer right you have to bring proceedings locally.
